MATT NICOL THE EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW + I N F I N I T E S E N S E
We start the first issue of this month with a Bulgarian model. Matt Nicol. He is a Bulgarian model that grew up in Canada and immigrated to the United States for fashion work. He has a remarkable resume in the fashion industry. And, He has a very strong body physique and attractive face. All the photographers are fascinated with him. “Infinite Sense” Photography by Frank Louis and Fashion Edition by Hamid Barzegar portrays a specific concept of black and white photography you can see and feel it better. 01. Introduce yourself? My name is Matt Nicol. I am of 100% Bulgarian ethnicity, but born in Toronto Canada. Bulgarian was my first language, and I’m 6’3” 205 lbs.
02. Describe your lifestyle? I like to live an active healthy lifestyle. Fitness is the cornerstone of my life and I follow a strict gym and diet regimen, but also love traveling and exploring the world and meeting people of all cultures and walks of life.
03. How do you feel about Prestige Men’s Style July Issue? Prestige is a classy and inspiring magazine which showcases fashion in a magnetic and intriguing way which people love.
04. Why are you interested in modeling and fashion? Modeling and fashion are an expression of my persona, and with it my hope is to inspire people of all ages and circumstances to seize the day and reach their potential.
05. How do you feel in fashion? Stressed or comfortable? Fashion is a physical expression of a person’s soul, and I feel comfortable in it.
06. Please define Model poses. And, What is the most important to be a famous model? I try to express myself with my poses in ways which inspire, motivate, and make people think in new creative ways. The motifs of fantasy and mythology have always interested me.
07. You work full-time or Part-time? I work full time
08. Currently, Do you follow other jobs? I also work in real estate
09. Your best backstage memory? The one memory which stands out in my mind was my first modeling shoot of my life with Stewart Shining and Alessandra Ambrosio for an Italian magazine shot in NYC. I was just a teenaged kid, and Stewart, Alessandra, and the whole team made me feel so comfortable. I will never forget it and cherish the memory forever.
10. “Fashion World” in your idea just in a word? Prestige
11. Negative and Positive Effects of Fashion? The only negative effect of the fashion world is that some parts of the industry created a trend to make models unhealthy and skinny, which is not the classic aesthetic of beauty in my opinion. I am glad that is now changing, and I hope to be a driving force in that change. The positive effects of fashion are numerous; fashion makes people unique and adds spice to life. It allows people to reveal their personalities without speaking.
12. Has Fashion and Modeling influenced to your lifestyle? Fashion and modeling have kept me focused on my fitness regimen and overall kept me motivated to lead a healthy life
13. If you were not a model, you will be? A fitness coach or real estate developer
14. Why? Because I want to help others realize their potential as others have done for me in the past
15. How much you laugh every day?:) All the time :)
16. Which things make you feel happy? Helping others and making a positive impact for a better, more open and empathetic world
17. Driving fast or driving normal? Fast lane ;)
18. Which sports you follow them? Bodybuilding, Mixed Martial Arts (UFC), Baseball
19. The sport you follow seriously? Why? Bodybuilding and Mixed Martial Arts. They are both physical art forms, and require focus, dedication, perseverance to succeed. As in all sports, or life endeavors, progress is achieved through failure, and sometimes you need to learn from a knockout punch or loss to come back better.
20. Please advice something in field of training and food regimes for our audiences about your sport? What are most important for them to have an incredible fitness body? I follow a a modified ketogenic diet geared towards bodybuilding to cut bodyfat (6 meals per day, no carbohydrates, with a higher protein content to preserve muscle mass). When I’m trying to add muscle I add 30g carbs to every meal.
For weight training I train heavy and hard year-round. Maximal weight while maintaining good form to preserve joints, 5-10 reps per set, and around 10-12 sets per workout. Blood, sweat, and tears included.

24. Favorite fruit? Blackberries because of their low sugar and high fiber content, and antioxidants.
25. Do you cook? Which recipes you do professionally? And your cookery score from 1-10? I cook all of my meals yes. I love barbecuing meat and cooking fish. Grass-fed organic lean beef and salmon are my favorite. I would rate myself at about a 8.

60. Define Prestige Men’s Style and How do you feel about this international fashion magazine? Prestige Men’s Style is fashion forward and isn’t afraid to push the boundaries of conventional style. That’s what we all love about it. That courage to speak through its images and invoke the element of fantasy in fashion, regardless of what people think, with the ambition to reach the eyes of many. And it does just that.
